RescueSight is a startup tech company out of Berkeley, California, that focuses on providing disaster relief through data visualized by aerial drone footage. I was recruited to create a visual identity for the company through logos and apparel graphics that reflected their desired tone and style.
Developing logos for a tech company requires a balance of sleekness without falling into cold iconography. My main goal was to design a logo that incorporates a relation to gaussian splatting, the method RescueSight’s drones use to interpret visual data. I landed on the spiral pattern to achieve this relation while utilizing the lack of harsh edges to evoke more inviting iconography.
Another task was to create a design for t-shirts. After discussing with the team, I created a design that encompasses the technology behind their drone technology. I designed around the concept of LLM transformer architecture since it is the drones language. Overall, my goal was for wearers to have the ability to walk through their technology by using the back of their shirt, applying a practical use to the design.
